I’m Mario Castells. I have been an entrepreneur since I was 19, creating and developing my own projects across very different sectors, from interior design and decoration to hospitality and, today, the marine industry.
The same curiosity has always driven me: to recognise an opportunity, turn an idea into something real and work to help it grow.
I do not believe very much in magic formulas. I believe in work, consistency, learning from mistakes and, above all, continuing when you genuinely believe in a project. Over the years I have also learned that no meaningful project is built alone: people, teams and trust are an essential part of every achievement.
The sea is another constant in my life. I have spent more than 16 years navigating and have covered thousands of nautical miles as a sailor and skipper. That experience has taught me responsibility, decision-making and, above all, respect for the things we cannot control.
WAYPOINT Marine Service was born from the meeting of these two parts of my life — entrepreneurship and navigation.
WAYPOINT represents the way I understand work: professionalism, approachability, planning and trust. A company built for boat owners, but also for the professionals who take responsibility every day for looking after their vessels and bringing them safely to their destination.
I still have the same enthusiasm I had when I started my first project: to create, learn, improve and discover how far a good idea can go when it is pursued with conviction and perseverance.

Why WAYPOINT
Every assignment is carefully planned and managed from the initial request to final handover. We consider the vessel, route, expected conditions, timing, crew composition, logistics and operational needs before a delivery begins.
We work with private boat owners as well as brokers, marinas, charter operators and other marine professionals. The same principles apply in every case: safety, reliability, discretion, professional standards and respect for the vessel.

WAYPOINT is built on real-world navigation and yacht operations. Coastal passages, island crossings and longer-distance voyages require more than simply plotting a route: they require preparation, weather awareness, fuel and range planning, realistic decision-making and the ability to adapt when conditions change.
That operational approach is applied to sailing yachts, catamarans, motorboats and larger yachts, with the delivery plan adapted to the characteristics of each vessel rather than using a one-size-fits-all process.
